Directions to Our Practice

If you aren't familiar with our location, we can help using a few notable starting points in town as a reference. For anyone coming to us from the direction of Union Square, it's an easy 11-minute walk. Head up Broadway for a few blocks, then turn left onto 21st St. We're most of the way to 6th Ave on the left, in building 54.

If you're coming to us from the direction of Chelsea Park, it's a longer walk. You can come down 9th Ave, then turn left onto 21st St and walk a little over three long blocks to our building or you could walk to the bus stop at 23rd St and 10th and take that four stops to 23rd St and 6th, then walk two short blocks down 6th Ave and around the corner onto 21st St.

It's an easy walk from Baruch College. Get to 22nd St and go right for one and a half long blocks, turn onto 5th Ave and go south for one block, then turn right onto 21st St and go most of the way up the block to our building.

Trivia About the Famous Flatiron Building

Our practice is located less than a quarter of a mile away from the building our neighborhood is named after. How much do you know about the Flatiron Building's history? It's one of NYC's oldest skyscrapers and one of its most recognizable landmarks. When it was first unveiled in June 1902, The New York Times called it a "monstrosity" and many people were convinced that a strong gust of wind would knock it down due to its triangular shape with one end barely over 6 feet wide.

The reason for the building's triangular shape is that the architect, Daniel Burnham, wanted to get the most out of the triangular parcel of land — a parcel that was itself known as the Flat Iron. The building was made with a steel skeleton, without which it likely would've been impossible to build. When it was built to be the headquarters of the Fuller Company, it only had bathrooms for men, so eventually, management designated the bathrooms on odd-number floors to be women's bathrooms.

A Unique Way to Explore Chelsea

Anyone who enjoys walking tours and escape rooms will love combining them through an interactive murder mystery adventure: The Devil in Chelsea. This will make an exciting family activity, an afternoon out with a group of friends, or a great date night. You'll discover parts of Chelsea you never knew existed, even if you're a local, and you'll test your problem-solving skills. We'd love to hear about how it went the next time you come in for an appointment!
